Interlinking linguistic resources for Italian via Linked Data
Welcome to the Home of LiITA: Linking Italian.
The objective of the LiITA – Linking Italian PRIN 2022 PNRR project is to create interoperability between available resources for Italian.
To address such a challenge, the project is going to rely on the de facto standards created by the Linked Open Data (LOD) scientific community, thanks to which resources and tools are published, interconnected and can interact between them on the web.
In order to achieve interoperability, this project will develop the fundamental component for interlinking resources, that is the Lemma Bank, a list of forms of citation for Italian published as LOD.

Data
The first phase of the LiITA: Linking Italian project focusses on building a Lemma Bank from existing Italian lemma sets that have been meticulously selected and compared. The Lemma Bank is available as Linked Open Data, adhering to the widely accepted vocabulary outlined in the OntoLex-Lemon model for describing lexical resources.
The second phase revolves around integrating a set of freely available Italian linguistic resources with the Knowledge Base. This includes one prominent lexical resource, specifically a WordNet, and one category of textual resources, in the form of the Italian treebanks available within the Universal Dependencies framework.
